BOAT SHOW PRE-EVENT ACTIVITIES AND SOCIAL EVENTS
Join us for a weekend of fun-filled social events and three days of pre-event activities!
You do not have to be an exhibitor to enjoy these events
Pre-event activities and social events are open to all boat show exhibitors, ACBS Members, and their guests. You do not have to exhibit a boat to attend. Tickets for all pre-event activities and social events may be purchased using this form. Events sell out quickly; please be sure to purchase your tickets in advance.
PRE-EVENT ACTIVITIES
Wednesday, July 4 - Full Day Event - Huntsville Chain of Lakes
Trailer to Huntsville, an area rich in Muskoka steamship history, We will be following some of the original routes through the canals that connect the lakes. This area has always been a popular tourist destination and is still home to Deerhurst Resort and the Historic Pow Wow Lodge. Lunch venue to be confirmed.
Registration Cost: $15 per person
Each person is responsible for their own lunch cost. Please use this form to make your lunch reservations.
Thursday, July 5 - Full Day Event - Lake Muskoka
The Muskoka Lakes will again be our destination on Thursday. However, this time we will be travelling on Lake Muskoka which will complete our three-year cycle for touring these lakes. This will be our longest run on the water as we will be leaving from our home port of Gravenhurst and circling around Acton Island to the historic village of Bala. We will then be passing through the narrows to East Bay for a picnic lunch stop on Morris Island. In total we will be travelling close to 60 miles by the time we return to Gravenhurst. A few boathouse stops are still being planned and will be confirmed at a later date.
Registration Cost: $25 per person - includes picnic - - no charge for kids under 12.
Friday, July 6 - 2:30 - 5:00 p.m. (NEW TIME) - Muskoka Wharf - Poker Run
This year's Poker Run will lead directly into our Friday Night Reunion (separate registration) at the Lions Pavilion on the Wharf. Prizes for best hand will be given out during cocktail hour.
Cost: $10 per Poker Hand
***IMPORTANT NOTES***
Boaters participating in these events must have their boats and trailers in top mechanical condition! We recommend that you bring adequate tools and parts with you in case of a breakdown. Due to the distance covered in these runs, we can assist a stranded boat to the nearest marina or facility, but you are responsible for your own repairs and transportation. We cannot tow boats for long distances!
Ontario Law does not allow any open alcohol on board. If packing a lunch or refreshments, please leave the alcohol at shore. These laws are enforced!
SOCIAL EVENTS
Friday Night Reunion Dinner
Friday, July 6 – Cocktails 5:00/Dinner 6:30 – Lions Pavilion
Enjoy cocktails and a casual get-together with friends and other boat enthusiasts. Poker Run prizes will be given out during cocktail hour.
Cost: $40 per person (cash bar). Tickets are available in advance only. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
VIP Lunch
Saturday, July 7 - 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. - Lions Pavilion
Sponsor Awards to be presented at 1:00 p.m.
Cost: $30 per person (includes one beverage) – cash bar
Fashion Show
Saturday, July 7 – 2:00 p.m. - Lions Pavilion
Featuring clothing from Muskoka Bay Clothing and Muskoka Discovery Centre.
Cost: Free admission – cash bar
WAVE Opportunity: Volunteer fashion models needed – all shapes and sizes welcome. Check the box at the end of the registration form for more information.
Sunday Brunch
Sunday, July 8 – 11:00 a.m. – Clevelands House, Lake Rosseau
Join us for Brunch at the iconic Clevelands House on Lake Rosseau. As this is a judged show, awards will be presented at Brunch. This popular event sells out early.
Cost: $40 per person – cash bar. Tickets are available in advance only. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
BOAT SHOW EXHIBITORS
Please use this form to register your boat for in-water or on-land display. There is no fee to register; however, unregistered boats cannot be accommodated.
Registration Desk Hours:
Pick up your registration package at the Registration Desk in front of the Lions Pavilion on Friday, July 7 - 1:00-4:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 7 - 8:00 - 11:00 a.m.
JUDGING This is a judged event. The judging fee is $40. Multiple awards will be presented this year in each category. If you would like to have your boat judged, please indicate below.
If you choose to have your boat judged and you are not available when the judges arrive at your boat, you agree that the judges may board the boat including raising the engine box or hatches. All judges are experienced and will use due caution in examining your boat.
On-land displays should be set up on Friday, July 6 between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
In-water displays should be at the dock no later than 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 7. Please plan to be part of the show until 4:00 p.m. Site Security will be provided on Friday and Saturday night.
Please ensure that your boat fits into one of our classification categories (whether or not you are having your boat judged).
Classifications:
Historic: any boat built up to and including 1918
Antique: any boat built between 1919 and 1942 inclusive
Classic: Any boat built between 1943 and 1975 inclusive
Late Classic: Any boat built between 1976 and up to more than 25 years old*
Contemporary: Any wooden boat built in the last 25 years
Classic Glass: Any fibreglass boat built prior to 1993
*Registrations for pontoon boats, inflatables, and small personal watercraft will not be accepted.
